Hello ABQCA families: The September High Dosage Tutoring weekend was a huge success! Scholars earned 65 credits overall! Thanks to all who participated. Our next HDT Weekend will be Saturday October 21st and Monday October 23rd. This is an exciting opportunity for our scholars to earn credits at a faster pace. Scholars can either receive intensive tutoring with their current classwork, or attend an accelerated "mini-course" for .25 or .5 credits in various subject areas. This time, there is also an off-campus hiking trip! Check out our schedule and sign up for the sessions you'd like. Due to the popularity of this event, the mini-courses will be limited to the first scholars who sign up and show up on time. We will offer hot meals during these days as well! https://www.abqca.org/page/hdt

Hello, ABQCA families! Please read carefully through these important announcements. • High Dosage Tutoring: ABQCA will be open tomorrow, Saturday September 9th, and Monday September 11th for two special days of accelerated courses and intensive tutoring. If you’d like to catch up on your credits more quickly, visit this link to see the schedule of sessions offered and to sign up for the sessions you’d like (https://www.abqca.org/page/hdt). If you’ve already signed up but you’ve forgotten what you signed up for, you can sign up again and we will delete your first response. This time, the form will send you a copy of your responses. We will have burritos and snacks for those who attend. • Attendance Letters: We have sent letters home to each scholar whose August attendance average was within Tiers 3-6. Here is the matrix that explains what the tiers are and what we do to support regular scholar attendance (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mwxgu5vN6_zfZT8eNzn6RTIVKoKXNBXPPgWOsbVUnYU/edit). There are some scholars who are in danger of being disenrolled or of losing their spot in the AM session due to poor attendance. Please look for this letter in the mail and let us know at the front desk if you do not receive it by next week. • Quarterly Credit and Attendance Reports: The first quarter reports will be sent out on September 29th. This will include each scholar’s number of credits earned this school year, and the average attendance for this school year. In order for a credit to be listed on the report, it must have been completed by 4:30 pm on Wednesday, September 27th. We expect each scholar to earn 1.5 credits per quarter. Credits earned during High Dosage Tutoring will be included in the quarterly report. We hope to see you this weekend for our exciting special days!

Hello ABQCA families- We will be serving lunch from Rudy’s Barbecue on Tuesday 8/29 for all scholars and family members! In order to participate in “Rudy Tuesday”: • You must be present for all four blocks – either AM or PM – on Tuesday 8/29/23, or check in with your Distance Learning teacher on Tuesday. • Each scholar/family must sign up via the google form that we sent to your scholar email (@s.abqca.org). We need to know how much food to buy. Luncheon will run from 11:20 to 1:00. Food will be served continuously in a buffet style, so you can arrive at any time within that window. We hope to see you on Tuesday!

Hello ABQCA Scholars and Families: Our school is quickly reaching its enrollment capacity and we have a very long waiting list for the AM session. We have many scholars who routinely miss one or two blocks in the AM session. This pattern suggests that the AM session is not a good fit for them. Anyone who routinely misses 1 or 2 blocks of the AM session will be moved to the PM session in an effort to help them attend school regularly. We'd also like to remind everyone that not coming to school at all will absolutely lead to dis-enrollment from school. Please see our Attendance Matrix using the link below, and see Ms. Garcia, Ms. Buszek, or Mr. Torres with any questions or concerns. https://bit.ly/abqcaattendance Have a great day!
